Pandora..it's not just a box!

I think one of my favorite things in SL, is seeing the amazing creativity and beauty that can emerge from that creativity.  I love decorating and landscaping and creating atmospheres, it's a zen experience for me.  So when my best friend told me her family were opening a resort sim, I knew I would love it!

Meet Pandora Resort.......

If I'm honest I went there to take pics of my avi in a pretty place for a blog post....but then as I walked around, I was amazed and relaxed all at the same time.  This place is BEAUTIFUL!

A lovely, peaceful wooded sim with secluded little rentals scattered about.  You can rent these sweet little homes for a minimum of a week, and enjoy you're own virtual vacation!  There is a lovely park and village center area that is fun to walk around and explore. 

They have a lovely spa area, that I could have very easily sunk into one of the bath houses and sat for ages getting pruney!

And then....there is the wedding location.  I mean...it made me want to get SL married LOL

(obviously not dressed for a wedding lol)

I highly recommend that you go take a wander about the amazing place!!  It's awe inspiring and serene at the same time!!

Magic Wonderland.....

So historically I hate snow in SL, living in Chicago we got enough of that IRL and I did not want to deal with it in SL.  However last year I moved to Florida, and now I have no snow.....and strangely miss it.

So having the ability to create my own winter wonderland in SL seemed like the perfect thing to do!

I'm so in love with this little wintery wooded ice rink, I almost want to keep it!  Please see below for items used :-)

Inspired....

After being in Second Life for almost 9 years I've done just about everything, but only a few still hold my interest; one of them is creating spaces.  So after being turned onto the television show The Originals by a dear friend, I was inspired by Davina's attic.

The contrast of darkness and light in one space, the glowing candles, the mix-match of decorations creating a comforting feeling.  I knew instantly when I saw this space that I needed to recreate it for myself in SL, which in turn inspired me to make a blog.
